Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, regularly tweets about interesting topics and recently talked about record bookings on Ola’s electric scooter to be launched soon.

In addition, the business tycoon mentioned Ola Chairman and Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurs who demonstrate no fear of failure and follow @bhash’s example.

Earlier on Saturday, Ola Electric said it has received around 1 lakh bookings for its upcoming scooter within the first 24 hours of launching. On the evening of July 15, the company opened booking for its electric scooter.

“I am thrilled by the tremendous response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The unprecedented demand is a clear indicator of shifting consumer preferences to EVs. This is a huge step forward in our mission to transition the world to sustainable mobility,” Ola Chairman and Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said in a statement.

Ola claims that its electric scooter would stand out for its speed, range, boot space, and technology.

This model will be priced aggressively in order to make it widely available. In the coming days, Ola plans to reveal the scooter’s features and price.

India will produce the scooter for the rest of the world. Two-wheeler production will take place in the company’s factory in Tamil Nadu. A first phase of the Ola Futurefactory is currently under construction and will soon be operational, with the capacity of producing 10 million vehicles annually by next year.
